Because we recognize that a student's educational needs are not always apparent at the beginning or end of a school year, Wyncote Academy accepts applications for admissions year-round.

How to Apply

The first step in the admissions process is a school visit and interview. Admission is based on evidence of ability to meet course requirements, a serious attitude toward learning and educational goals, even though those qualities may not have been evident in recent school settings.

In the interview, we will explain our program and explore the applicant's particular needs and talents. Prospective students are asked to spend a day or two visiting classes. Submission of the Application for Admission form and school records (including results of educational testing) completes the application procedure.

Financial Aid

The Board of Trustees and Faculty of Wyncote Academy are dedicated to the development of young people through an educational environment that is small in size and caring in approach. They affirm equal opportunity for all. Recognizing that education at an independent school requires sacrifice and commitment on the part of many families, the Academy provides various forms of financial aid and tuition payment plans that help make the Wyncote Academy experience possible.

Following formal application for admission, and Academy notification of acceptance, parents may apply for financial aid. Financial aid requests are evaluated and awarded based on the financial need of families and special circumstances. A Financial Aid Form may be requested and following its submission and review, Academy notification will indicate the determination of an Academy scholarship or loan award. If a scholarship or loan is awarded, a signed Enrollment Agreement with a $500 non-refundable deposit will be required to hold the financial aid award.

Academy Financial Aid (scholarships and loans) is for one academic year. Families of returning students must reapply each year and provide updated financial and other information for consideration of future awards. The amount of awarded scholarships and loans may change from year to year. They are determined by the financial need of families, available resources, and number of students to be served.

Financial Aid Plans

Academy Scholarships
An amount awarded towards tuition on behalf of the student.
This money is considered a grant and is not repaid to the Academy.

Academy Loan
An amount loaned by the Academy that its interest-free while the student is attending Wyncote. It is a simple interest loan, due within two years following graduation, withdrawal, or termination from the Academy. The Academy Loan may be repaid in full at any time without penalty.

Academy Two-Payment Plan
• 60% July 1^st 2008
• 40% January 1^st 2009

Academy Extended Tuition Payment Plan
An eight payment plan. First payment due by August 15 (or prior to enrollment) and a proportionate payment due monthly thereafter. There is an Academy service charge of $200 for this plan. If this plan is chosen, payment is required through EZ-EFT, electronic fund transfer, using the Federal Reserve electronic payment network.

Tuition and fees may be charged to Visa or MasterCard. Contact the Academy to authorize a payment charge.
